Seed House: 2003

Seed House was a collaboration with photographer Linda Gammell, created as part of "Roots of Renewal", a year-long symposium sponsored by the Center for Prairie Studies at Grinnell College. The symposium brought together national and regional artists, the college, and the local community of Grinnell, Iowa to explore issues that face rural culture: the impact of corporate agriculture, people's attachment to place and the land, and concern about the environment. For Seed House, Taylor and Gammell invited local farmers, gardeners and clergy to dinner, where they guided discussion about food, agriculture and place.

In 2013, elements of Seed House were remounted in an installation for "The House We Built: Feminist Art Then and Now" at the Katherine Nash Gallery, University of Minnesota.
