These works I call SEED/HEARTS, LEAF/BIRDS, Prayer Rugs, and BIRD/HOUSES. I have been thinking how much we need to think in likeness or metaphor. I feel if we do this, we might awaken and affirm in ourselves the healing notion that all is whole: land/body/spirit.
The surface is made from leaf casts; therein is contained suggestions of tree, plant, seed, artery, organ, body, life -- to name only a few.
If I identify myself with the seeded earth will I not take better care of us both?
