Ark and Preservation, Revisiting the Ark

Curating and re-combining images found in ancient books and textiles, this work is an exploration of the Ark stories and other redemptive metaphors. Using the Ark as a story base for thoughts about preservation, my images reference flood stories from many cultures and epochs. Mixed media pieces become a multilayered meditation on themes of preservation, shelter, renewal and our relationship with the natural world.
